The early years...

My dad was a horse lover and traveled many miles on horseback in his youth.  He introduced us kids to horses at a young age.   Growing up on a farm in South Georgia in the 60's we spent many hours outdoors. 

In our free time my brother and sister and I would saddle up our horses and ponies and re-enact some of our favorite westerns.  In the pastures and fields near our house were imaginary "Wild West" towns  and along with our friends on horseback and with our trusty index finger six-shooters we brought justice to the back forty and the "Pony Express" was always on time!  If you showed up to play without a horse or pony to ride you joined in anyway - we were always happy to ride double.   Good clean fun and nobody ever got hurt.  Those were the good 'ole days…
